The Rancho Bernardo Dog Park is part of the Rancho Bernardo Community Park, which is under the auspices of the City of San Diego's Park and Recreation Department. City staff is responsible for the daily maintenance of all areas of the park which includes the fields and the dog pens. If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach out to the Park and Recreation Department at askparks@sandiego.gov. The Rancho Bernardo Recreation Community Recreation Group can be reached at RBRecreationCouncil@gmail.com


Please remember it is a City ordinance that all dogs remain on leashes at all times in public places, except in the dog pens.

Due to construction, the off leash dog park area will be completely closed from June 15th through June 30th, 2026 You can keep updated on the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) for the Rancho Bernardo Community Park - Phase 1, Dog Park and ADA improvements by clicking on the following link: https://www.sandiego.gov/cip/project-info/project-profiles/rancho-bernardo-community-park We ask that people do not use the dog pens during the raining weather, similar to our ball fields. This is for the safety of the users and so that the pens are not over stressed. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
